Rights and obligations to use the service

The use of Lafuga-Share is reserved exclusively for the employees of the Gene Center and is intended for official use only. Changes in the employment relationship, e.g. when leaving the facility, must be reported by the user.

Responsibility for the file contents

The user of the service is solely responsible for the legal and constitutional conformity of the contents of the stored data. The user undertakes not to store sensitive data (e.g. personal data) in unencrypted form and to not to make them accessible to unauthorized third parties. The user is responsible for ensuring that the data can be interpreted.

Retention period, deletion of uploaded data

The provided data will be stored for 30 days. The period can be extended before expiry for an unlimited period of 1 week. After the expiration of the period, the corresponding link to the provided data becomes invalid and the data is deleted.

Security

The data transmission is encrypted via https. However, anyone who knows a link and the password (if any), can gain access to a file. For protection, strong passwords must be used and access data must be transmitted confidentially and securely. Sensitive data (e.g. personal data) may only be stored on Lafuga-Share after it has been encrypted using state-of-the-art technology. In other cases, it is also advisable to use further security measures such as state-of-the-art file encryption. In addition, the files can be deleted at any time. The data is stored exclusively on LAFUGA's own hardware. You yourself are responsible for sufficiently backing up the data to other storage locations and keeping it available.

Limitation of the data volume

The amount of data that can be stored in the Lafuga Share Service is limited per user. The limit can be temporarily increased if necessary and upon request. To do so, please contact: graf@genzentrum.lmu.de

Availability

There is no guarantee for the availability of the service. Necessary interruptions will be announced a few days in advance. In exceptional cases that cannot be postponed, there may also be an immediate interruption.

Registration

To register for the Lafuga Share Service, please send the form for registration (Download) filled in and signed to graf@genzentrum.lmu.de.

The duration of the registration is 5 years. After this time, users will be asked by email to provide a confirmation to continue the registration.

By registering, you declare that you have taken note of the privacy policy. Furthermore, by registering, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Your consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time without giving reasons. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. If you do not consent to the processing of your personal data or if you revoke consent that has already been given, you will not suffer any disadvantages; however, you will then not be able to use Lafuga-Share (anymore).
